Dry Hair: there are several methods and products available in the market against the dry hair but not all of them works for your hair, so here is the guide to the natural methods against dry hair
What are the solutions against dry hair, which are often brittle, split ends and difficult to unravel? The treatments are to be found in the gentle methods because hair dry often, initially, was attacked by various treatments, shampoos or detergents too.
The hair becomes dry because the sebaceous gland at the base of the hair does not produce enough sebum protectors. In result, keratin, a protein that makes up hair, loses its effectiveness and the hair becomes less flexible, brittle, dry and dull. The common visible reasons for the dry hair can be the selection of wrong Hair color, shampoo and conditioners, hair oil, other hair care products and the unhealthy diet, especially that doesn’t contains the ingredients needed for hair growth.
Solutions against dry hair: the side of Dietary Supplements
- The B vitamins stimulate the production of keratin, including vitamins B8 (biotin) and B5.
- The amino acid sulfur: Cysteine (A sulphur containing amino acid) and methionine (constituent of most proteins) also promotes production of keratin. Be careful, Cysteine is not recommended for people prone to kidney stones, while methionine is to be avoided in cases of liver problems, cancer and cardiovascular disease.
- Silicon is an element in the composition of the skin, nails and hair. Food supplements often make silicon from a plant, horsetail.
Against dry hair, look also on the side of your plate
- Protein and iron keratin is made from sulfur amino acids found in meat and fish. As for iron, essential for hair growth, they are also found in red meat and fish, but also in poultry and seafood.
- Zinc: Zinc deficiency weakens the hair. It is found in oysters, seafood, red meat, grains, fish, but also in egg yolk, lentils, etc.
- Fatty acids essential: essential for the production of sebum, the fatty acids are present in some oils such as rapeseed oil, nuts and soy oil.
The right thing every day against dry hair
- Eliminate aggressive products and those containing alcohol: detergent shampoo, gel, hairspray and etc.
- Use a shampoo and always use a special conditioner for dry hair (jojoba, shea butter).
- Avoid anything that is hot and pulling on the hair: hair dryers, curling irons, hair rollers, elastics, hair brush iron, etc.
- Space as much as possible for all treatment: dyes, permanent.
- No Swimming or bathing in the sea without a cap or without application of protective oil. And after the bath, rinse your hair well.
- Wear a hat while under the sun.
