How do I back up all of the settings of my mac?
I have had my MacBook for a while and I want to reinstall OS X just to keep things running fast. Having my laptop this long, I have customized it to pretty much exactly how I want it. Is there a way to back up all of the settings? I don’t have an external hard drive to myself so I can’t use Time Capsule.
Use your macbook CD’s that came with your computer to reinstall the software. when it comes to installing the OS. use the “Archive and Install method.” all of your settings, files, etc are saved. Here is apple’s support page about Archiving and Installing http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1710
